Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2025-02-24
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how EyeVisionApp.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use:
- The Android mobile application Eye Vision Training App (the “App”), distributed on Google Play under the package name com.lazyeye.therapy; and
- Our website and related services at https://eyevisionapp.com (the “Website”), including subscription and account pages.
By using the App or the Website, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. This Policy is designed to align with Google Play’s User Data policy and Data safety requirements for apps distributed on Google Play.
1. Who we are
The App and Website are operated in connection with EyeVisionApp.com. For privacy questions, contact us at patilprasanna2003@gmail.com.
2. Scope: App vs Website
Android App (Google Play): The App provides vision-training games and related features. Certain data is stored only on your device; other data is sent to our servers as described below so we can provide subscription access, registration, and optional messages from us to your device.
Website: The Website may be used to learn about the service, subscribe, manage payments, and contact support. Data collected on the Website is described in the sections below.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Data the App stores locally on your device (not sent to us by default)
The App may store the following on your device using local storage and/or on-device databases:
- Calibration settings for dichoptic / anaglyph display (e.g. color channel preferences tied to your glasses setup).
- Usage and progress data such as play time, scores, high scores, session summaries, and similar metrics used to show progress inside the App.
- Subscription validity timestamps returned from our servers after validation, so the App can work offline for a period without contacting the server on every launch.
- Trial-related timestamps (e.g. first launch time) used to enforce trial limits as described in our Terms.
This on-device data is used to operate the App’s features on your phone or tablet. It is not transmitted to us except where you explicitly use features that require network access (see below).
3.2 Data the App transmits off your device (network)
When the App connects to the internet, it may send the following to our backend at https://eyevisionapp.com over HTTPS (encrypted in transit):
- Device or other identifiers: A stable device identifier (for example, derived from the device’s Android ID or a randomly generated ID stored on the device) sent as
device_idin API requests. We use this to recognize your device for subscription validation, device registration, delivering account-related or service messages to the App (inbox-style messages), and marking messages as read. We do not use this identifier for advertising or selling data.
We do not require you to create an account with an email address inside the App for basic identification; the device identifier is used to tie subscription status and optional messages to your installation.
3.3 Google Play and Google services
The App is distributed through Google Play. Google processes information according to Google’s Privacy Policy. The App may use Google Play services (for example, to check for app updates). That processing is governed by Google’s terms and policies.
3.4 Website and payments
When you use the Website (for example, to subscribe), we may collect:
- Information you provide: such as email, phone number, or other details you enter in forms, if applicable.
- Payment transactions: Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider (for example, Razorpay or another provider shown at checkout). We do not store full card numbers on our servers; payment data is handled according to the payment provider’s policies and PCI-DSS industry standards where applicable.
- Technical data: such as IP address, browser type, and standard server logs for security, fraud prevention, and service operation.
4. How we use your information (purposes)
- To provide, maintain, and improve the App and Website.
- To validate and manage subscriptions and trials.
- To send service-related or administrative communications when necessary.
- To deliver optional in-app messages from us to your device when you use features that fetch messages.
- To protect the security and integrity of our services and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising or behavioral advertising in the App as described in this Policy.
5. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your region, we may rely on: performance of a contract (providing the service you requested); legitimate interests (security, improving the service); consent where required (e.g. certain communications); or legal obligation.
6. Sharing of information
We may share information with:
- Service providers who assist us (for example, hosting, payment processors, email delivery), bound by contractual obligations to protect data.
- Payment processors to complete transactions you initiate on the Website.
- Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information to data brokers.
7. Data retention
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs. On-device data remains on your device until you uninstall the App or clear app data. Server-side records (for example, subscription or device-related logs) are retained according to our operational and legal requirements and then deleted or anonymized where appropriate.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including TLS (HTTPS) for data transmitted between the App and our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s privacy
Our services are intended to be used under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or healthcare professional where the user is a child. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction) without verifiable parental consent where required by law. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us at patilprasanna2003@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete it.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.
11. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact patilprasanna2003@gmail.com.
If you uninstall the App, locally stored data may be removed by the operating system; server-side data tied to your device identifier may still be retained as described in Section 7 unless you request deletion and we can verify your request.
12. Third-party links
The App or Website may link to third-party sites (for example, Google Play). We are not responsible for their privacy practices; please read their policies.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
14. Google Play Data safety
Our disclosures in the Google Play Console Data safety section are intended to match this Policy. Key categories relevant to our App include: data sent off-device (such as device or other identifiers for app functionality and account/subscription management), encryption in transit (HTTPS), and purposes described above. If you have questions about a specific data type, contact us.
